What can’t you live without? My cats. They are my Mewses! Do you have a favorite snack while digi-scrapping or designing? I don’t usually snack while designing as my hands are busy doing something else. If I do want a snack, it’s usually something sweet, like a cookie. In which part of the day do you work best? I’m a night owl. So the late night if my favorite time to design. It’s peaceful and quiet and everyone is asleep, so there are no interruptions. What are you working on right now? Three trains, International Women’s Day, some new poser critters, some patriotic stuff and the Summer Soltice/Litha. What colors do you find yourself drawn to with designs, i.e. bright, funky, soft, earthy etc… I light bright strong colors, especially in the blue and purple ranges. What is the one digital design program you can’t live without? PSP, well, PSPx5 actually. After that the color picker gets a little strange, but I suspect I shall have to get used to it. Before and after photos – framed one I used another Action from Coffee Shop called “Soft Satin Gray BW” (Preview Below) and then added my hand-made Lightning Brush plus aligned my Alpha title and styled Strike – more from our Photoshop Elements Class Tutorials – thanks Lori! We visited the Water Garden at the Mayfield Garden near Oberon, NSW – for an early Mother’s Day Gift & we so enjoyed our visit. 1. *Techniques – Option one (1) cutting out the circles in the top left hand cnr – Option three (3) subtracting from the original 2 squares in the bottom left hand cnr – Feathered sq. behind journaling and feathered again using the same technique around photos 1, 3, 4 and 6 plus went back to PTC 1_Wk 2 and erased my paper clip parts over photos 5 & 6 to make it clip onto the photos.

The other day, we went on a long drive to visit the Water Garden at the Mayfield Garden, 10 klms past Oberon, NSW – it took 2 1/2 hrs to get there but the landscaped gardens were delightful, we wandered around peacefully, keeping out of the wind as much as possible and resting from time to time to take in the changing scenery and to capture the moments on camera. Happy Mother’s Day, Mother. (May 2016) Layout Journaling reads – The Red Bridge, located in the Water Garden at the Mayfield Garden going over the pond which winds itself down to the Cascade Waterfall… As you can see I turned the Red Bridge into a Yellow Bridge (Thinking of The Yellow Brick Road in The Wizard of Oz)

I thoroughly enjoyed scrapping this wonderful garden that I completed another layout using 2 photos of the different bridges and their Reflections.

WordArt Wednesday’s – April 27th

Dear Friends and Followers,

This week’s word art scripture is Psalm 9:10 and we hope that you will take a closer look at it with us.  The first words (And they that know thy name) refer to God’s name which, in the Old Testament, was Jehovah.  The name of Jehovah was well known among the people of this time as being a watchword of strength and protection.  They placed their faith in Him (in Jehovah) because they knew from experience that He would always protect them, and they trusted in His faithfulness and goodness.  In the New Testament, we know Jehovah (or God) as Jesus Christ.  So as the verse goes on to say, we are told that those who know thy name “will put their trust in thee”.  An example of how we “put our trust in thee” would be when we seek His help in times of need, or relief in times of pain or strife.  God is always the One we run to when we are troubled and need help because we, like the people then, know the He will lift us up, help and protect us in our times of need.  How can we call to Jehovah when we need Him?  It’s actually VERY easy.  We can speak directly to God by fervently praying (asking of God) and adding to our prayer the good measure of faith and trust we give to our LORD God – Jehovah God in the Old Testament and Jesus Christ in the New Testament.  We call on Him because we trust Him.  He has proven Himself to be faithful over and over again.  What a joy to know that we can humbly come before Him directly – the God of this universe cares about each of us SO MUCH that even though He is perfect and holy, righteous and omnipotent, He allows us to approach Him directly.  We are truly blessed to have such a wonderful and faithful friend to help us in times of need.  How blessed are those who truly KNOW HIS NAME and can call on Him in times of need.
